More about radeon x800 256mb problem
  1. i pretty sure it is not compatible, you can check the AMD site and see of there are any drivers for it
  2. It should work - ATI has Vista drivers (which should also work for Win7) for the Radeon X800 series GPUs
  3. It is a Dx9 card and ATI dropped support for win 7 regarding cards below the 2K series. For vista and XP there is continued driver support.
  4. but when i go to the site it asks me my os and what card i have and then it downloads the vista ones and then it install catalyst or i tired just the drivers nad it says successful but then i restart...
in device manager it says its a radeon x800 but it has a triang;e symbol and tells me its not working.
would the quadro fx 3000 work?
    thanks
  5. Nvidia has thus far continued Dx9 support under win7 which the Quadro fx 3000 is as such however it is not for gaming but professional 2D and 3D work but if you are just looking for something to just work and get the job done it will do just fine.
  6. ok so my lousy 3000 that im trying to sell on craigslist for $35 would do, huh?
is there any way to coerce my x800 to work?
would a p4-era dell fanless grpahics card work?
    thank you!!!
  7. That quadro will run under win 7 as for the ati you are screwed unless you want to downgrade to vista then knock your self out.
  8. would an evga 7800gs superclock version work??? i have one somewhere if i could find it...

i dont have the vista disc so thats not a possibility! besides, vista isnt as cool as win7 ultimate!
  10. Yes but it will only work on a agp era board. I used to own a evga 7800gs co.
  11. it is an agp board...
    i tried the 7800. its broken :-(
  12. Well your options are limited so you might as well buy a new card for your pc a 4650/70 agp is your best option for any thing up to date.
  13. no thanks i dont like spending $$$ on what everyone claims is CRAP
  14. Works for 32bit for sure... Win7 has the drivers right out of the box.
