Hy, my PC is having a hardware issue. It's freezing randomly, without warning quite often now. It happened sooner but it wasn't so persistent like now. When it freezes, the CPU activity drops from wherever it is to 0-5% and it stays that way for 2-3 minutes. The physical memory isn't affected at all but the CPU is. And it isn't a virus or a piece of software because I've erased my HDD and reinstalled my os TWICE, so ive figured it's the hardware. Also, whenever it freezes, the light which marks the HDD writting activity is on all the time without pauses so I think the HDD has something to do with it.
My comp specs:
ACPI x64-based PC
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
CPU: DualCore Intel Pentium 2.6 GHz
RAM: 4 GB DDR2
HDD: SAMSUNG HD502IJ ATA Device (500 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)
Graphics: nVidia GeForce 9400 GT (512 MB)
The freezes last 2-3 minutes each and after the first takes place, the others start aswell which forces me to shutdown the PC. They start randomly so it's impossible to guess when it will happen.
