Start by testing hardware, i.e. ram and hard drive with memtest and chkdsk. It could also be a driver issue have you done any recent upgrades?

Download this - http://memtest.org/download/4.10/memtest86+-4.10.iso.zi...

burn to disc, then change boot priority at startup of computer so it will boot to cd/dvd

normally Dell's will allow you to change the quick boot at startup hit f12 I believe

I will try these in the morning. Thank you for your help.
