HI,
is this truth that ati graphic cart works better with an amd processor?or this is just the publicity of amd? :pfff:
and why crossfireX 5870 works better than 5970?what is the relation between graphic card and crossfireX? :sarcastic:

No it does not work better, where does amd state that?

Crossfire'd 5770s work better because there are 2 gpu's doing the work instead of 1 5850.

no,everybody say it .that ati card works better with amd processor, don't you hear it?
my intention of amd isn' company it is the fan of amd!!!
look at this benchmark !!!core i7 980x is more powerful than amd phnom ii x4 965.but the result of phenom iix4 is better!!

sorry i made a mistake!!!crossfire 5870 works better than 5970!!!

Crossfire 5870 will be better than the 5970 as the 5970 is the same chip but clocked lower than the 5870 so 2 5870's are better than the 2 5970's cores.

both gpu is RV870 i think the core is the same!!!but the 5870 is 850 and 5970 is 725 and memoryclock in 5870 is 2400 but in 5970 is 2000!thanks a lot :kaola:  .but one question.if the memory clock and core clock is the same the result is same?
and my first question about the relation of amd and ati graphic card what is the answer?
did you see the benchmark?(dirt 2) :??:

If you clock the 5970 at 5870 level sthen yes, they perform the same.

As for that graph, that is one game and the levels are not of a great enough to degree to be reproducable I would think.

A 5870 is clocked faster than a 5970, so two of them are faster than a single 5970. The 5970 is made of RV870 cores that are binned for lower power consumption. As it is a top binned chip, there are few of them and that is why there is a relatively low supply of 5970s.

In general AMD processors give no advantage with AMD (ATI) cards. However, some games may run better on one processor architecture or the other.

ok,so architecture is making diffrence?ok how about phenom and phenom ii?or core 2quad and core ixx?there is no advantage with ati or geforce in these cpus?

imagine that 5970 and 5870 have same core speed.so cross firex5870 is better than 5970 again?

ATI cards work better with AMD chipsets....not processors.
April 26, 2010 11:39:40 PM

Work fine on Intel too. However if you are referring to NVidia chipsets, nothing really worked that great on those.

when they say that there no advantage with diffrent processor it means diffrent chips have no effects.because when you use intel processor you must use intel chipset and also with amd.

Any single graphic card will run equally well on either platform, AMD or Intel. It makes absolutely no difference at all.
Some games are written, or rather a little better optimized to run on one GPU or the other, but it has nothing to do with the underlying platform really, it is strictly the GPU that the game is optimized for.
If you are talking about Crossfire or SLI, then that is a another discussion that goes in a completely different direction.

hi ,thank u ,i say that intel core 2quad work better with graphic card (ati or geforce) or core i xx?or amd athlon and phenom.but in same power.if both cpu have same power in another program the chitecture has any effect on working with graphic card?
and another is corssfireX with an amd has same result with intel?
