Ati 5770 problems

how do you get an ati 5770 to run at 1680 x 1050 at 60hz???

I have windows 7 64bit with a L226WTQ-SF which ran a the required resolution with my nvidia 8800 gt, this results in not be able to paly left for dead 1,2 and a few other game because of this.

So far I regret moving from nvidia. Has anyone a solution, I have install the latest drivers 10.3 still no joy

  1. Right click on desktop and choose "Screen resolution",then click on "Advanced settings" and in "Adapter" tab click on "List all models" then you can select the resolution you want with the refresh rate

since you look very fimiliar with 5770, i just want to ask you are quad core i5 750 + asus P7P55D-E + ASUS EAH5770 1gb are good combination....?? or i will have the same prob...
  3. It would be a great combination
  4. I have Intel i7 860 + Asus P7P55D + Sapphire Radeon HD5770 1 GB + Kingston DDR3-1333 8 GB RAM. A perfect combination that has been running for 5 months. Except that once or twice out of 15 cold-boots, Asus board stucks at detection of gfx card and M/B LED at gfx card station remains red and nothing further happens. I manually turn my PC off and back on and then it works and works great. I have updated BIOS several times to no avail. Win 7 x64. Hope this info is usefull.
