Extending C Partition on disk

Hello,
I'm running low on space on C although its purely programs that I don't want to install. D (where I keep my data) has over 90GB free, and I'm considering using EaseUS to extend C by shrinking D. What are the risks to this? Should I back up before doing it just in case?

Risk? Of cause, no software could guarantee 100% safety. As I know, to use such kind of software, you should keep no live applications on the partition which you want to shrink, if possible you'd better use the bootCD to do this operation.
