Does this system have enough power?
1X 7200 RPM HDD
1X ATI 5770
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz
ASUS Sabertooth X58
4x 2G DDR3 RAM = 8G of DDR3 RAM.
CORSAIR Builder Series CMPSU-500CX 500W

Will 500 watts be enough?

Yes the 5770 is a low power gpu.And a CX500 would be fine.
If you can spend $10-20 more a CX600 or a quality 650W unit is probably a better investment in the long run.
It would allow you more versatility if you oc your cpu or add a more powerful gpu in the future.
