LGA 775 is a dead socket these days and has been replaced by LGA1156 & LGA1366. For your budget I would look elsewhere than the old socket.

Do you have a list of other parts you have or are likely to buy ?

Sorry but both parts are very dated for today's stand ards. How about you tell us your budget again and your monitor resolution. Because honestly for $450 you'll get a very low end of a "gaming computer."

Okay, the vid card is purchased and it runs the recommended system requirements for all of my games.

I forgot to mention, i do have
DDR2 Mem so that is not needed
and a CD drive.

So all together i need to buy"

Case
PSU
HDD
MoBo
CPU

and i have Vid Card
CD drive
RAM

Am i missing anything? also i will raise my budget to $500

You'd be better off getting an AMD build. Try getting a AM2+ build. That's the only build that supports DDR2
