Boy do I feel stupid now, I forgot to plug in the 4/8 pin for the CPU power supply! I found a link to it in a different threadfor the "PERFORM THESE STEPS before posting about boot/no video problems. Sorry about this, I can't check if that's the problem since I need to get to bed for work but I'm guessing that's a big part of it .
I'm guessing one of the problems is that it hasn't ever ran correct?
Did the motherboard ship with a bios updated for that 930?
There are any beep codes? (need a speaker plugged into panel) or what do the motherboard leds' say, code.
I would go back to breadboard the system just hook the power jumper from case up.
I suspect the no shutdown is due to a system state error, it will only shut down if the bios is set up for a shutdown scheme.
I don't see any problem with monitor, looks like it's stopped in halt mode, prior to any video initialization. Equipment all looks good. Video power cord installed, cpu power cord installed.
Define don't see any error codes on motherboard, just what do you see?
