Hp pavilion dv6000 optical dvd drive not reading

Hello,
I'm Gavi, I have HP laptop HP Pavillion DV6000, and my CD/DVD is not reading any cd or dvd. I tried deleting Lower/Upper stuffs in regedit. when i double click on CD/DVD it gives error message Insert a disk. Kindly help.

Sounds like the drive is bad, contact the manufacture if it's under warranty. If its not under warranty you may want to consider a usb cd/dvd drive as it will be much easier to attach and cheaper then trying to replace the internal drive.
