hi,

It's a bit of a stretch, but I just wanted to know if any of you guys got an idea on how much it would cost to repair memory module connectors/sockets on a motherboard? (XPS 420)

I doubt anyone would do it. I think it would be theoretically possible to do, as they are through-hole mounted, but as there are 240 pins, it would be nearly impossible.

So only option is a new motherboard?

Yes, if you need to use the affected memory sockets.
