Video resolution mis-match

Hello,I have a p4 computer w/XP and a PNY video card w/ NVIDIA GeoForce2 MX100/200 driver. Also a Samsung Syncmaster 2053BW monitor. Resolution offers on computer 1600/900, etc do match monitor 1440/900. How do I get the correct resolutions or is this the best I can do?

Older graphics chips do not support the widescreen resolutions of newer monitors.
