Mixing RAM Brands

Would I have any problems mixing brands of the same type but different brand, like with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146748 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231426&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL022411&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL022411-_-EMC-022411-Index-_-DesktopMemory-_-20231426-L0A

The second one is on sale and would be a nice upgrade, so would I have problems?

More about mixing brands
  1. This topic has been moved from the section Storage to section Motherboards & Memory by Tecmo34
  2. Some people have had good luck with mixing, others have not. I'm one of those who has had bad luck with mixing. If I want to upgrade memory and the original brand, type, speed, and timings isn't available, I buy all new.

All you can do is give it a try and see if it works for you.
