Need more information about your computer. Information such as the manufacturer (Sony, Dell, HP, Asus, etc.) and the model number. Also need information about the modem.

I don't think you mean "Modem", maybe the computer? Some people call the actual computer box a "modem" for some reason or another, sounds like that's what you are doing.

As far as connecting things, it's not hard, look for the connection cable, and look for a port that will fit it, not more difficult that those baby toys where you match a star shape to a star, square to a square, etc...

If you do a web search for your brand and model, you will find pictures of the back of the system, but that is a bit redundant since you will see the same thing if you just look at the back of your computer.
