Im using Win ME currently, but looking to upgrade to a 64bit platform... Should I go with with the new XP, wait to see how the os develops, or go with Win 2000?

If you are looking into 64 bit platform, you will have to buy XP 64 bit release. Now neither Win2k nor XP for your existing system (32 bit) will help you with 64 later. Win2k is cheaper (and I think simpler in use) than XP at this point of time, even lots of people say XP looks better, so it is up to you.

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

I've personally been very happy with XP. Why buy the "older" OS (2000) when XP has everything that 2000 has and more?

Really though, you probably can't go wrong with either.

Just my 2 cents...

I wonldn't BUY XP... Just on Principle, till WPA(Activation) is gone....

Ya can get a good deal on w2k with a purchase of hardware too... aprox $129 - and its not scheduled for non activation... and a good OS...
