RAM questions for qualification

Would I be able to use a G.Skill 1600 RAM, which is listed for Sandy Bridge rigs, on an Asrock 890 Extreme3 motherboard and an Athlon II x4 640 processor?

I'm not sure how to determine compatibility. If there's anyone out there who can help me, I'd appreciate it.

The best way to determine compatibility is to go to your mainboard's page on the ASRock site and find the memory compatibility list.

I took the liberty of doing that for you, and it lists several different G.Skill memory types. The Ripjaws and Ripjaws X memory should work just fine. All of their DDR3-1600 should work fine.

That's good news to me, but honestly, I did check the Asrock web page too, and I did compare them, but I could not find any matching serials. After that, I concluded that the Asrock memory page isn't updated since the Sandy Bridge RAM was just recently released. This is what prompted me to ask compatibility here.
