Okay so I've been looking for a new build for my friend. His budget is £450 for next month, and £205 for the month after. I compiled this:

Case:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/146271

Powersupply:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176439

Motherboard:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/185913

Processor:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/191956

RAM:
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179278

Graphics card:

The plan was to buy the stuff listed above, then the month after to buy another 5770 GPU to put it into CrossFire, and two 500GB SATAII 7200rpm hdd's and put them into a RAID0:

I was considering to buy a different PSU from the one listed as it is 50w more and has more 4pin molex connectors (as I have loads of 4pinmolex>sata converters):

So my questions are:

Will 600/650w psu be powerful enough to run a quad core 635 and two 5770's, or totally useless? (I remember reading two 4890's CF required minimum 600W, and from my understanding the 5770's consume less power than a 4890 so I supposed this would be good enough)

Will the case provide enough ventilation?

Will he even need a quad core for gaming or will a X3 be good enough?

I'll take up any offers on cheaper ram anywhere that's ddr3 1333mhz aswell :p

I'll buy from anywhere in UK; including following suppliers:
www.ebuyer.com
www.overclockers.co.uk
www.yoyotech.co.uk
www.microdirect.co.uk
www.dabs.com
www.scan.co.uk

Many thanks :D

What resolution is he gaming on? For budget rigs just nab the best GPU in single configuration your $$ allows ya ^^ In any case i wouldn't CF on that 16x/4x 770 hehe The X3 is good to go

I don't think anyone on these forums has ever heard of, never mind used that case.

That PSU, I wouldn't touch with a 10 ft pole.

A good 650 PSU will have no issue with xfire 5770's.

Your friend would be better off just waiting and buying everything at once. It's not like you can do much with a system lacking a boot drive anyway.

You should also fill out form in my sticky.
