My desktop icons underlined

Hello,what's the advantage of underlining icons on desktop

Its a feature more than an advantage.. It occurs mostly when you enable the feature of single click to open an item and point to select.. By default it is single click to select and double click to open..

It will act as a hyperlink that will proceed to the target app/folder when clicked once. Personally, I find this feature quite annoying considering my own personal usage.
