So I just recieved all of the major components for my first build. Before I begin, I want to make sure that I didn't overlook things like missing cables that I will need for the setup. I bought one hard drive without a SATA cable. My DVD/CD Burner came with one SATA cable. Finally, my DVD-ROM drive came without an IDE cable. Would I be correct in assuming that I only need to purchase ONE additional SATA cable and ONE IDE cable? Or could they be included with another component like the case or the motherboard? Also, are there any other additional cables that I may need to buy? Thanks!

The motherboard usually supplies the sata cables.

Other then an e-Sata connector in the front of your case you won't need anymore. Assumingly your mobo should be able to use your IDE drive as well.

edit:

Only other thing someone might need is a psu-cable extender. Sometimes when the psu is on the bottom it won't reach the connector on the mobo way up. But only sometimes.
