I need to deside tomorow what parts i will order for my new computer.
As i understand SSD is better the HDD (i am speaking about speed).
I did look at Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10000Rpm 16MB SATA 3Gb/s (tho it is not SSD) and i did look at Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10000Rpm 16MB SATA 3Gb/s

What should i get?
SSD costs 2 times more then VelociRaptor
I wanted to instann windows 7 on SSD in raid 0
I want that installing programs, games etc is faster. Also openin up applications etc.
SHop where i am thinking to order parts did offer me Western Digital 128GB SSD tho i have heard that WD is not very good.
I also heard that itel SSD is way better

Please helpto deside.

Right now Id go for 2 1tb Samsung F3's in raid for the best overall performance you could get whilst staying under 100 dollars....or pounds for that matter it seems with a quick search !.

These drives will easily outperform a std ssd if short stroked to about 250gb partitons on C and remaining 750 for a data partition (if raided obv) and will do so whilst making not a lot of noise and costing 3 times less easily.

Oh and you will still get 1tb of storage in that deal too.

SSD's will be really worth it next year once 500gb is available that WILL last 5yrs minimum. Right now your best bet is to wait.

Oh and if you are on SSD for definite then yes either the latest OCZ's or the intel's are about the best bet for that route......but its all in the money for me even though Id love the silence an SSD would give me I have SCYTHE HIMURO hdd enclosures which all but silence them anyway.
