Dvd swallowed by cd drive. how to get it?

I put a dvd in the drive and it apparently slid over the drive and out the backside. I have taken all the scresw out of the back of the laptop, but I can't get the back off. I am afraid to force it. Is there something else I need to know about getting the drive out so I can search for the dvd?

you should read the service manual for your laptop but usually after removing the screw there is a slider you have to press while pulling the optical drive out.
