i have a ati 5870 now.if i buy a 5970 with pci 2.1 it support crossfire with 5870?in asus motherbord 890 fx?(M4A89TD PRO/USB3)

Although its recommended to use 2 identical cards in order to get the best performance but you can CrossFire a 5970 with a HD 5870
