Monitor goes black with latest drivers

I BOUGHT A NEW PC , AMD X4 630 ,I HAVE AN ASUS RADEON 5750 512 MB GRAPHICS CARD AND WHEN I INSTALL THE DRIVERS OFF THE INSTALL CD OR EVEN THE LATEST DRIVERS FROM ATI'S WEBSITE, THE MONITOR GOES BLACK WHEN WINDOWS 7 IS STARTED [AFTER REBOOT]. ONLY THE DEFAULT WINDOWS 7 DRIVERS WORKS [ BUT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT MENT FOR THE G.CARD ]. I HAVE AN OLD CTX 17" MONITOR WITH NO DVI.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

Hi

Its a custom-ordered pc:

600w power supply
asus m/board
amd x4 630
asus 5750 512 mb

When i install the asus g.card drivers, it does the same thing as the latest drivers from ati's website: "monitor goes black and all the monitor lights flashes", this happens when it changes to final resolution when entering win 7, but win 7 is loaded and i hear the sound clip[ windows start ].So i'm
pretty sure the pc does n't crash.

And also i tried this monitor on other pc's in the house, for everything it works 100%.

I forgot to mention the monitor is an old crt 17'' with maximum resolution of 1280x1024,no dvi inputs.

1 tb h/drive
4 gb ram

Does the motherboard have it's own VGA output you can try the monitor on after removing the graphics card?
