HDMI to VGA

I'm building a HTPC using a intel DH57DD motherboard and using the on board graphics. I'm assuming by the following sentence,
"The HDMI port is enabled for the POST whenever a monitor is attached, regardless of
the DVI-I connector status.",
that said I guess I will need an adapter to convert the HDMI to VGA in order to use my Panasonic Plasma TV/Monitor for system setup. I saw an adapter online at DinoDirect.com. Or can I use my HDMI to DVI-I and then connect my adapter to go from DVI-I to VGA?

Yes. That would be the easiest way
  2. I honestly would just go from HDMI to VGA link, because what your saying is connecting two adapters which I'm not sure, but I think you will lose a lot of picture quality.

    Heres a link:

Well I just hope this helps.
