Computer won't boot with new video card

Hello,i just got a new graphics card today to replace my GT8500
and when i go to boot my computer
all the fan including the installed video card ( Ati 5670 Asus) go crazy, like the computers under a full load ( fans much louder then with the 8500Gt) also i get no signal on my monitors.
I bought a 500watt power supply with the card (Cool Master Extereme Power Plus)
and last but not least here is my computer is Compaq Presario SR1734X thanks all.

have you tried the old video card with the new power supply?

does it return back to normal?

The power supply is working fine with the gt 8500

hey bud try to reinstlling the graphics card,The tryto change the voltage to the fan .
