my wifes computer had an old P4 that was slow and not Hyper threading, I replaced her 2.4 and put in a 3.0 now its saying it needs a new mutli processor code that hp has but dont know how to flash it, also dont have a 3.5 floppy handy so I tried using a usb flash and changed it to a drive but then it says something like program trying to acess harddrive and may not work properly and the it just says it cant do it. any problems of letting this go, it works fine just beeps once it statrs up

no problem, it just probably won't be able to fully utilize HT but you got 600 mhz extra which will help a small bit
