Lost photos on hd

I had about 10 years worth of photos on a western digital hd and through adobe bridge (which i always use to organize, etc my photos) I tried to transfer the photos to a bigger western digital hd. When I was through I started going through the files and all the file folders are there but only about 10% of my photos are there. They are not on the original hd either. Any suggestions of how to recover all my lost photos?
