trying to move to some new memory but having some issues. I picked up 8gb of ddr2 800mhz qimonda FB-DIMM, installed it and get an E1 mobo error and no BIOS load. Try multiple different configurations, 1-4 chips installed, forcing 800mhz and 5-5-5-15 timings, even mix the 667 with the 800 (this last situation allowed it to boot but I couldn't see the 800mhz memory. So I picked up a Hynix 2gb 800mhz chip...same thing. The E1 error is also what I get when I try to power up with no memory. I suppose that all five chips could be bad but that seems unlikely to me, trying to find somewhere to test the FB-DIMM chips. Ive made sure the memory is seated correctly, no corrosion, seats easily, gets warm when pc is on, and the 667 runs fine out of the same slots. Duno if it is a BIOS compatibility issue or what but any suggestions would be sweet
