DVI to HDMI

I am looking to buy an HDMI to DVI cable so I can play PS3 on my monitor and PC on my 40" Bravia.

My PC has a radeon 4870 with two dvi ports.

My friend also wants one to play his xbox360 on his monitor.

His pc has an nvidea 8800gt.

Will everything work correctly? Will the sound transmit with video?

First of all you don't have to embed the URL just copy and paste. The monitor in my opinion is a little low on resolution as HDMI can support full 1920x1080 res, which is higher than that 1680x1050, which isn't 16:9, but 16:10 aspect ratio. The cable is only HDMI 1.2a, not 1.3 or 1.4, so if you decide to upgrade your monitor to a 3d one the cable won't work in transmitting the 3d signal. As for your friend the link no longer works on Newegg's site, but it should work if the monitor has an HDMI port.
