Second GPU No Longer Reconized

I cant get the 2nd gpu to be recognized so I can activate crossfire. I've done everything i can think of. A friend said it may be because of my bios but I definitely don't know how to troubleshoot it to recognize the 2nd gpu.

Did you try each card individually?

Yep tried both in the first slot and they work separately.

Both CF bridges secured tightly? You try another CF connector? The other CF connector on each board?

Yes both were secured tightly... I tried all possible combinations with the CF bridges and the 2 gpu's. I also want to mention that whichever gpu i put in the 2nd slot my pc has a blank screen at startup with or without the 2 bridges.

At first before I removed the 2nd gpu for the first time I had no option to enable crossfire in catalyst. But like I said, now I have a blank screen at startup whenever I have a 2nd gpu installed.

Somehow I no longer have a blank screen when i have the 2nd gpu installed but its still not recognized in device manger or gpu-z and the fan is spinning really fast. Any idea whats wrong?

ANY HELP PLEASE??? the only thing i can think of is buying a new motherboard.
