Cpu fan error

Hello,my gateway was reading an error of 02FA Fan Error. I replaced the fan but the computer is still rweading the same error. Is there a way that i can "reset" the computer to read the new fan or is the new fan boke too? Thanks.

In BIOS look under Hardware Monitor or similar for any adjustments available to the system fans being monitored there.
