What'sa Radeon 5550?

HI guys and ladies, anyway my question is what the heck is a Radeon 5550. I looked on Google and a search result told me it was quietly launched by AMD in February, but it really doesn't show up on their website. Based on the numbering I would assume its a weaker chip than the 5570 but I would ask why is HIS and Sapphire making the cards when AMD isn't officially calling it that.

My guess is just a silent HTPC card capable of very light gaming.

Looks like it has DDR2 instead of DDR3 like the 5570. I would probably avoid the 5570 in that case.
