Computer modification ?

Hello
I like to upgrade my laptop but don't know much and i need your advices. I have
Compaq presario V 5000: intel centrino Duo 1.6 Ghs, 2 DDR2 RAM, 128 MB shared display graphics.
Mainly i would like to change the CPU with newer and faster one, a Display graphic card, and the RAM.
I don't know if my laptop can handle that or not and I don't know where to buy such parts.

Laptop upgrade will cost a hell of a money and it won't be a sufficient upgrade. Don't waste your money on this........

laptops are virtually un-upgradable (except for RAM)

you can buy ram from any computer store (best buy, frys, etc...) or an online retailer (newegg, amazon, tigerdirect, etc...)

you can upgrade the memory (check HP's site to check the max you can put in), CPU's are hit or miss as it depends on whether or not they soldered the chip in, and the GPU can't be changed (the only laptops that allow this are high end gaming laptops that already have strong video cards)
