Ati radeon 4870 heatsink

my gfx card is normally on 81-82 degree celcius

and any game crashes when the session gets heated up . is it because of the power supply unit or otherwise?

  1. Sounds like you could start by improving your case ventilation. Depending on your current fan configuration and cable management, you may be able to move the cables out of the airflow (and secure them out of the way with nylon ties), or add fan(s) that have higher Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM), or even just add a fan or two to your case.
