LGA 775 board for overclocking

Hey tomshardware forums, I'm trying to squeeze the last bit out of a system with a Q8400. The plan is to try and get a new motherboard and cpu cooler and overclock the living hell out of it. Problem is LGA 775 motherboards appear to be near extinct and I'm not really familiar with the socket at all. Can anyone recommend a motherboard that will overclock well, and supports DDR3? (I have 2 sticks of corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 laying about.)

I think you should worry more about how to cool it rather than which board would be best. If you have a good cooling system set up, any board will do.

You are correct about the boards disappearing. I would check ebay for a used x38 or x48 chipset board.

Newegg reviews look good; all my msi boards have overclocked well; I've owned about 4 of them over the years; 3 of one kind as it always came up as a frys combo. I miss those.
