Hello,

I am upgrading my system and I am have a hard time deciding on a motherboard. My CPU will be a AMD Phenom X4 965, my GPU is a 8800GT, and I'll have 4gigs DDR3 Ran (1600MHz or 1800Mhz).

I am looking to spend around $100. I have 3 tentative choices but if anyone can suggest a better board, I'd certainly consider it.

Asus M4A77T/USB3

Asus M4A785TD-M

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H

Thanks for any advice.

is your CPU the 965 black edition? if so check the wattage on the board, most newer boards don't feed it enough juice.

although they announce the black edition is 125 watts its actually more like 140watts

some boards will still allow the cpu to run at a lesser efficiency while others don't work at all

I know the m4a78 supports the black edition and the m5a78 deluxe will run it though bios tells me cpu wants more power. and I returned an ASrock that didn't power it up at all
