Buying a new computer!

Last response: in Systems

Here is my problem:

I want a new computer but don't know the best way to go about buying one. I want one that is good for gaming, Not saying I need to max out the video settings, but it would be great if I could do that affordably.

I have to buy a pre-built computer because of my parents, that doesnt mean I can't upgrade it. So I need some suggestions, like what should I get as a base computer? What processor should I go with, Intel, or AMD? What video card should I get to upgrade to?

My Budget: $850 and under for base. The rest I can save up for, but don't go crazy.

Thanx to anyone who helps me! I was thinking maybe this one for a base:

Because if I'm not mistaken i5 is a good processor right, and it has 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a good start. I wont need anymore ram, and maybe wont have to upgrade the processor.

Go for an AMD, you'd be able to buy graphics right off instead of wasting all your money on superfluous amounts of RAM. And you won't really be able to upgrade that CPU cause next year there will be another new intel socket and that's about as high as they get in that socket.

Why do you have to get a prebuilt? They're more expensive than doing it yourself generally, and you'll have to find one that has a big enough case for a graphics card. Then also immediately replace the PSU for a graphics card of any real consequence.
