Ok, After a lot of posts on the site finding out whats best, ive finally come up with what I think is the cheapest and best setup for a gaming computer. Im open to suggestions of better parts as long as it wont end up costing me more then $650 :)

CPU: AMD Phenom II 940 Black Edition

Solution
1. The 940BE being one of the 1st Deneb chips is socket AM2+ with it's Integrated Memory Controller (IMC) strictly able to 'talk' to DDR2 only so is incompatible with that AM3 mobo with DDR3 DIMM slots Shame on Egg for the incompatible combo @@

2. Negative on that HEC PSU
