Pure Gaming Rig ~900

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: I'm not expecting to buy this real soon, maybe by this Sept or Oct.

BUDGET RANGE: 1000 tops, preferably under 900.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, alt tab using internet while gaming to look up help, anything else.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: No preference, as long as its a reliable site.

PARTS PREFERENCES: Intel mobo or processor.

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1280x1024(though I may get a 1600x1200 in the near future)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

I'm not really looking to play at high resolutions though maxed out maybe. So perhaps cut any excess that allows me to play maxed out at 1280x1024(or medium-low at 1600x1200). I haven't really built anything so I don't know what's excessive or not.

What I have so far runs me 1265$.

  1. October is a long way away, everything will change. Check back a week before purchase.
  2. SATA 6GB/s
    USB 3.0
    Crossfire capable
    80+ certified 750W
catch: must be open to non Intel option hehe
    $648AR + $100 for Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit

    stick to onboard sound
  3. Maybe October, if it costs anything more than 1200. I can forgo a few things though and get it relatively soon if I can get something closer to 800.

Edit: Well, that certainly saves me a lot of money. Thanks.
  4. i d try to add a 5850 to that setup, cut out the sound card and put it towards a better vid card.
