Powercolor HD5870 Strange Chirping Noise from PSU

Today I received a 1gb version.

I get the exact same thing man. When I run The Sims 3, I can hear a high-pitched whine that changes pitch when the cinematics change at the beginning of the game. However, I'm experiencing much worse problems than that at the moment with my computer. D:

Its called coil whine, I had the same problem with my old coolermaster real power m700, I have no idea whether its something to worry about or if its simply just annoying. Anyway I brought a Corsair HX850 which has solved the problem.

PSU humming at the load is commonly cause by bad capacitor/s. Its common on any electronic load not only in PC PSU / hardware.

It happens on brand new video card as well.

In 2007 my first BFG 8800GT had similar issues. I had BFG replaced my card and the problem went away.

I did not have this problem on my GTX 280 and 2x4890 XOC.

It can heared when the board is powered. The sound is at the load end.
