Hey Everyone,

Looking to get a new build together here ASAP. Primarily photoshop and web development; some gaming. It has been quite some time and it never amazes me how EVERYTHING changes. I've been doing my research and I think I have a pretty solid build together.

Just thought I would post my build and see if anyone has any input / recommendations / warnings.

Thanks in advance!

Intel Core i7 860
Asus P7P55D-E Pro
Gskill 4GB ECO - F3-10666CL7D-4GBECO
Thermalright MUX-120 CPU Cooler
XFX GeForce GTS250 1GB
Primary Storage - Intel SSD - X25-V Mainstream 40gb
Secondary Storage - Western Digital - (2) Caviar Black 1TB (RAID 1)
ASUS DVD-RW - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS
Antec Sonata III 500
Samsung PX2370
Windows 7 64-bit

Regarding RAM...I'm debating if I should just do 8GB...why not?!?!
What I posted is 2 x 2GB modules. Is there any reason I cannot do 4 x 2GB and fill the slots?

Hope all else is cool.
Thanks again!
Ryan

Fill out form in sticky, link in my sig. Stuff like your budget and what country you're in is nice to know.

1. It you want CUDA, the GTS 250 isn't the way to go. 9800gtx+ would be my suggestion.

2. Spinpoint F3's are better 1TB drives.

3. 8GB RAM is fine. Should get a G Skill CAS 7 kit. Both Ripjaws and Eco are great options ATM.

I will look more into the 9800GTX. Would the reduction in GPU memory be noticeable?

Spinpoint F3's are not 6GB/S SATA. Was hoping to take advantage of that...

Definitely CAS7. ECO.
