Looking to get a new graphics card. Not sure what I can handle. I have a 24" widescreen running at 1920x1200. PC specs are:

G.SKill 4gb PC3 10666 Ram
AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition 3.2ghz
Corsair 650w power supply
MSI 790FX-GD70 AM3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD motherboard

Looking for the best I can get for around $400-450ish. Depends on how much I can convince my wife I need to spend. I play Bad Campany 2 right now and also will be playing other FPS in the future. Any suggestions are appreciated!

A 5870 would be the best choice for that budget, and will run BC2 nicely, as well as any other mainstream FPS that might pop up in the near future.

i would recommend the XFX just for the warranty, and i wouldn't put much stock in newegg reviews IMO

The only real difference between manufacturers is warranty and cooler. XFX has a really really good warranty (lifetime for you, and if you sell it, lifetime for the buyer. I would suggest either of these:

XFX Radeon 5870
This one's cheap and its XFX. Only $410

Gigabyte Radeon 5870
This one's got a massive stock overclock, running at 950 core. Also great double fan cooler. But, $90 more.

The Gigabyte one does have a great stock oc, but the other card could probably achieve the same. I would go for the XFX.
