GT120 to 9800GT

I am wanting to upgrade my video card, i have a GT120 now and want to go to a 9800GT. Is a straight swap, i mean i don't have to do anything else besides drivers??

i also have a 24" HD Lcd monitor 1920 x 1200 resolution. is a 9800GT the right way to go?

I have a 400 watt psu, so i know i can't get to much more gpu without upgrading that also.
Which i really don't want to do yet.

You should be fine, you might not even have to update drivers.

yeah besides the drivers which, you might not even have to do, it'll just be a plug and play scenario

It's still a swap but the GT240 is a worse performing card when compared to the 9800GT.

The 9800GT is the faster card, the GT240 is equivelent to a 9600GT.

Someone will tell you no...the other 99.0% of us will tell you that for a 9800GT you won't notice the difference.

The perfomance change would be minimal, for the performance the 9800gt offers it really can't take advantage of that much memory, just save some money and get the 512 MB
