Hi guys!

Will this motherboard offer optimal performance with a 2500k and with DRR3 1600 memory?

In the specs it says PC3-10600: http://www.asus.dk/product.aspx?P_ID=TzGzLFtd2HBF7vc5&templete=2 (Well, actually it doesn't say it here, but I've seen it stated elsewhere)

Is there any reason to upgrade to a board fully supporting DDR3 1600, in case this board doesn't? I'm going to use it primarily for gaming, so will it matter?

Will it matter if I overclock the CPU in relation to gaming performance?

I've decided to go with this board based on avaliability where I live. Also, if a pricier board doesn't offer better gaming performance, I see no reason to pay more.

I would suggest you reconsider the Asus option. I have the Asus Pro it isn't a bad board. I have owned MSI and Gigabyte in the recent past. What you should consider is support. MSI has an expertly staffed forum while Gigabyte and Asus do not.
