Do sata dvd rom drives have jumpers?

IBM ThinkCentre 8141 won't boot from DVD

There may be some out there that have jumpers, but none that you need to change to get it to work.

When the machine is running from its own hard drive, can it read the data on the DVD? How are you trying to boot from DVD (any BIOS changes, prompts during the boot process)? What happens?

With more info we may be able to help
