Hey guys,
so I've recently decided to build my own gaming pc, and I wanted your opinions on my hardware choices.
CoolerMaster HAF 932 Case
SAMSUNG 750GB 7200 RPM HDD
PNY GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi)
CoolerMaster Silent Pro 1000W PSU
Patriot G Series 'Sector 5' Edition 8GB Ram (2x4GB)
MSI P55 GD65 Motherboard
Intel core i5-680 3.6 Ghz CPU
CoolerMaster Gemini II S CPU Cooler
And a BD drive, and a CD/DVD burner/reader

Nothing wrong at all with your choices but there are some alternatives you could use:

Your CM 1000W PSU is sized for 3x GTX 470s but your MSI GD65 only has 2x PCI-e x16 slots. 750W for two or 550W for one GTX 470 would be plenty. I don't know if anyone is going to be impressed hearing you're using any PNY video card. Maybe choose EVGA instead.

$300 is a lot for a dual core CPU. Even one @ 3.6Ghz. Choose the i5-750 instead and put that Gemini II S CPU Cooler to work. Better yet replace it something better like the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme.

Replace the Samsung 750GB HDD with Spinpoint F3 1TB or Seagate 7200.12 1TB HDD for a little bump up in performance.
