Come ON! FAN Speed!

Guys, i am quite fed up. even though i said i don't care about noise...

After closing my casing, the Excalibur i installed in front makes much more noise and much deepen one. I have connected it to motherboard chassis fan. Now speed fan cant control it, that's extreme crap. My mobo is p5kpl-AM SE.

speed fan detects it but cant change speed. Its running at 2200rpm constant . temps are reall good, but noise suks. i should be able to control it. Can anyone mail the guy who made it to fix this. Come on guys help.

P.S. don't suggest hardware controlling, don't spam please.

You can change the speed in Bios. Or at least I can... Don't know about you though.

P5kpl mobos support q-fan system for cpu fan only.

in bios i can see the rpm only. that's it.

.. or may be its me that cant control the speed. any specific fiddling with settings?

The new fan is 92mm isn't it? I would get a 120mm and use a convertor to allow you to fix it onto the fixture.

nah man. i have Cooler Master Excalibur 120mm beast. Connected directly to mobo chs port.

disabling any control in bios for cpu fan= that you can control it from speed fan but that too not much, bios can rev it much higher.

Excalibur is same. 2200rpm constant what so ever.

Well you can place rubber gromits in it, also you can use a sound reducing screen.

well then why shouldn't i just open the side covering? the sound quietens a bit. Those aren't solution(s).

Any other software? or someone as i said specific fiddling around? cuz i know if i disconnect it, the hdd's temps and mb temps rise up more than 10degrees.

A resister would work, but the more realistic way is getting a fan controller.
Is the fan connected via molex or a 3-pin on the mobo?

+ why does this fan have 4 point face? PWM is outa my jurisdiction, i don't understand it fully .

Only CPU fan connector on mobo has 4pin female for 4pin male (like of Excalibur) to be connected. may be there is some advantage over 3pin? or not?

Any other software? I cant get hardware cuz its not available in my country. I am really happy to spend under 25buks to get a controller. But its not available here. Thats why i said not to tell Hardware solutions.
