Which model of XFX Radeon HD 5770 is better?

Hello, :hello:

I am looking to buy a XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB DDR5 PCIE Graphics Card and I have read most of the reviews for the card (mostly 4-5 stars). However I have noticed two different model numbers for the same card...

HD577AZNFC and HD577XZNFC

Can someone please tell me which one of these is more stable and would be the safer one to buy?

Thank you,

I asked a very similar question last month. Here is my post: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/forum2.php?config=tomshardwareus.inc&cat=33&post=286445&page=1&p=1&sondage=0&owntopic=1&trash=0&trash_post=0&print=0&numreponse=0&quote_only=0&new=0&nojs=0.

I want the HD577AZNFC, the one with the enclosed schroud, to exhaust hot air out of the case, even though my case has excellent cooling.

Hope you fell the same. :hello:
  2. The more expensive one is newer. Newer is usually better.
  3. Yup, agree with foscooter, the first option is better (HD577AZNFC), it blows hot air out of the case... :)
  4. Thanks for all the help. I have done some more research online and I think I will go with the HD577AZNFC since it will vent hot air out the back of my case better. Plus this version has 2 crossfire connections and the HD577XZNFC only has 1. The MOBO i am getting has the option to run 3 crossfire boards so I want to keep that option open if I can. Again thanks for that help. :D

  6. Just advice, don't waste your money to run 3 crossfire, you will lose much power.
The optimal performance is just 2 CF. :)
    Alright, enjoy that card.
