Unable to disable local area connection

not able to disable local area connection. Am getting message the connnection may be using one or more protocol that do not support plug and play or it may bave been initiated by another user or the system account. What does it mean and how do I solve it?

Sounds like something got associated w/ that network connection that's preventing its disabling.

If you right-click, select Properties, what items are listed in the list box? Anything unusual? Did you make any other network changes recently?

Btw, what's your OS (and service pack if applicable)?
