Another Gaming PC Build (Around $1500 w/o Monitor) Tags: New Build Systems Product Last response: June 9, 2010 1:12 PM in Systems Share Kreeker June 9, 2010 2:58:10 AM This time I'm actually going to go through with the build... Here's what I'm thinking: CPU: Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield 2.8GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor GPU: XFX HD-587X-ZNDC Radeon HD 5870 (Cypress XT) XXX Edition 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready MEM: G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory MOBO: EVGA P55 LE 123-LF-E653-KR LGA1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard PSU: CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply CASE: COOLER MASTER HAF 932 RC-932-KKN1-GP Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case I'm open to suggestions on EVERY component. The only CPU is the only part in which im almost 95% sure is the right way to go. I'm still not even sure if I should be going with a 5870 over a gtx 480. Thanks for looking and please make suggestions! More about : gaming build 1500 monitor banthracis June 9, 2010 3:32:10 AM Why are you getting a single slot MOBO with an x58 system? That's a waste of money for gaming. For the best gaming performance, you're better off going i5-750 + 5970. 932 is unnecessary. 922 is fine, and actually a better case. Also would help if you fill out the form in sticky, link in my sig. m 0 l Hereisphilly June 9, 2010 1:12:12 PM yeah +1 on the 922 case, waay better (ive had both) also, on the mobo front, the board will not work, as its the wrong socket (1156 instead of 1366) the best price/performance board for 1366 atm IMO is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
